The CNSO has been around now for twenty-five years, and for that quarter of a century we have always put our best foot forward aiming to deliver the best possible performances and, last but by no means least, inviting prominent soloists and conductors to join us.
The first concert of the forthcoming season on 1st November, which kicks off our regular meetings, will be somewhat unconventional in terms of form. It panned out this way since our aim was to remember and celebrate all that has shaped us so far.
Bolero will be performed without a conductor in remembrance of Zdeňek Košler, Ode to Joy under the baton of our beloved veteran Libor Pešek, Nino Rota’s moving film scores led by Marcello Rota and finishing off with yet another string to the CNSO’s bow, a trip down memory lane to the successful Trumpet Summit — featuring Vince Mendoza, Randy Brecker, Bobby Shew and Jan Hasenöhrl.
